Britt Luisa Ros complained to the Press Complaints Commission that the newspaper had published information in breach of Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Code. She felt that the newspaper had published hurtful and incorrect comments about her parent's divorce in the obituary of her father.

The complaint was resolved when the PCC negotiated the publication of the following wording at the foot of the online article:

When first posted this obituary stated that after their house, Edritt House "was finished, and there was nothing else to do, Edmundo Ros' s first wife Britt, soon tired of her life as a bandleader's consort". The reference was removed at the request of the family and we apologise for the distress it caused.

The newspaper also sent a private letter of apology to the complainant.
