Complaint:

Mr Adam Wood complained that the newspaper had breached Clause 1 (Accuracy) of the Editors' Code of Practice in a report about the drug ‘Cloud Nine'. He was concerned that the newspaper had inaccurately stated that ‘Cloud Nine' was also called ‘Ivory Wave'. He stated that misinformation regarding the nature of substances could cause harm; the original products in batches of ‘Cloud Nine' were cannabinoids, but the original product in ‘Ivory Wave' was ‘a stimulant called MDPV'. He also considered that it was false to state that "Cloud Nine" had been banned by the UK government.

Resolution:
The complaint was resolved when the newspaper agreed to remove the article from its website.
